What did you do to get the most guests to the center?
Every single 4 ½ hour round trip from Illinois is beneficial to me. I always gain more knowledge from associating with the leaders and asking questions. That knowledge may come from formal training or from a comment in a conversation. Being around other successful people helps keep me focused on what I need to do to grow both personally and financially in this business. When representatives are working some distance from daily close contact with their mentors, many factors of the day can distract them from their goals and objectives. Driving to the Center eliminates those distractions for me. I am also very motivated to build a team in Indianapolis. |
Why do you believe being a member of the Indianapolis Lightyear
Alliance Development Center helps your business?
The Indianapolis Development Center provides a professional office setting to which I can invite guests to learn about our business. Some guests need to see a building for them to believe that this is a real business. Being a member allows me the opportunity to edify the Center, its members, and its membership benefits. My prospects know that I belong to a larger team, a team that is there to assist me, and more importantly, there to assist them as they start their business. As a member, I have ready access to the experience and knowledge of the Senior Vice Presidents, and all of the other members. This is invaluable. My membership demonstrates that I support the efforts of all Lightyear Representatives in our area. Without members, there can be no Center to benefit us all.
What are you key tips for being successful with Lightyear Alliance?
There are many tips for being successful. 'Showing up' is a big one. When you show up, you learn. You learn how to do new things; you learn how to correct your efforts; you learn about teamwork and friendship; and you learn things you do not realize until one day the information pops out of your mouth and you succeed. Being persistent is another key tip. The more you perform the activities of this business, the better you will become. All of us will make mistakes. That's life. If we are not doing anything, we can not learn from our mistakes to get better. Finally, be true to yourself. Figure out what you want, make a game plan, seek counseling and go get it! |
